Hilo defeated North Hawaii 11-1 at the Little League (ages 9-10) district playoffs at Greenwell Park on Saturday morning. In the second game of the day, North Hawaii beat Ka‘u, 11-6, for the second consecutive day, eliminating Ka‘u from the double-elimination tournament.

North Hawaii will play Hilo in the tournament’s final round at 11 a.m. today to determine who will continue on to Maui in search of a state tournament berth. If North Hawaii wins, a second game will be played 30 minutes after the conclusion of Game 1.
