Patricia “Tutu” Jennings Morriss Campbell, 87, of Waimea died May 30 at home. Born in Paauhau, she was the owner of the Waimea General Store and Waimea Woolcraft, co-author of “Georgia O’Keefe’s Hawaii” and was formerly a member of West Hawaii Players and Waimea Community Players. Friends may call at 10 a.m. Monday, June 23, at St. James Episcopal Church in Waimea. Service at 11 a.m. Casual attire. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to North Hawaii Hospice, the Michael Morriss Memorial Fund or the A.W. Morriss III Scholarship Fund at HPA. Survived by husband, Allan Campbell of Australia; daughters, Sally (Allen) Wooddell of Waimea and Virginia (Andrew Fisher) Pressler Fisher of Honolulu; sons, Lex (Lisa) Morriss, Neil (Debi) Morriss, Richard Morriss, all of Waimea; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Akiko Hanano, 87, of Waimea, died May 27 at home. Born in Honokaa, she was a retired clerk for the United States Postal Service and a member of the Kamuela Hongwanji Mission, Kamuela American Japanese Civic Association and Kamuela Hongwanji Buddhist Women’s Association. Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. June 13 at the Kamuela Hongwanji Mission. Memorial service at 4 p.m. Survived by husband, Richard Hanano of Waimea; sons, Michael (Jane) Hanano and Leslie (Manu) Hanano, both of Waimea, and Ricky (Sylvia) Hanano of Kona; daughter, Marvis (Michael Oldham) Hanano of Kona; sisters, Kiyome Yoshimatsu of Waimea, Rose Yaeko Markey of California; brother, Kenneth Hayami Yoshimatsu of Honolulu; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Sadako Sueoka, 98, died March 26. Born in Hilo, she retired as a domestic engineer. Memorial services will be Saturday, June 14, at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home. Visitation at 10 a.m. Service at 11 a.m. No flowers. Survived by son, Harold Sueoka of Hilo; daughters, Marian (Henry) Hamada of Kauai and Doris Kimura of Hilo; brothers, Jerry (Chiharu Sasaki) Nishioka of California and Yoshito Nishioka of Mililani; sister, Carolyn Saito of Aiea; son-in-law, Roy Yamashita of Hilo; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. John Venhuizen Jr., 51, of Eden Rock died May 27 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Honolulu, he retired as a maintenance worker. Private services planned. Survived by mother, Edwina Yamada of Alabama; sons, Vance Venhuizen of Waimanalo, Oahu, Gage Grabfelder of California and Keanu Leong of Maui; brothers, Troy (Lynne) Venhuizen of Hilo and Christian (Christina) Venhuizen of Wyoming; sisters, Kelly (Daniel) Venhuizen-Wash of Wisconsin and Charleen (Chad) Soptick of Texas; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
