Students who participate in the annual trip continue serving those communities affected by Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf Coast region. The trip is sponsored by Community Service Learning at JMU.

While the focus remains on rebuilding houses and communities, the trip incorporates the type of work most necessary at the time of arrival.
