A body found in Hilo over the weekend has been identified as 48-year-old Jodi L. Masutomi of Hilo.

Matsutomi was identified through fingerprints during an autopsy conducted Tuesday, police said in a written statement. The autopsy revealed injuries consistent with a fall from a high place.

The cause of death is being deferred, however, pending a toxicology report.

The body was discovered shortly before midnight Saturday on the Wainaku shoreline off Hawaii Belt Road.

Police say they have not found Masutomi’s car, a tan 1997 Toyota Camry four-door sedan, license plate HXP 413.
