After much anticipation, the Hawaii Wildlife Center Retail Store is now open for business.

After much anticipation, the Hawaii Wildlife Center Retail Store is now open for business.

All items in the store represent the HWC’s conservation mission and celebrate Hawaii’s native birds and bats.

Many of the items are works by local artists. The store carries a variety of items including books, hats, photography and art prints, children and adult clothing, and stuffed animals.

All of the store’s profits go back into funding the critical wildlife conservation programs at the center, including the hands-on care of sick and injured native wildlife at the center’s wildlife hospital in Kapa‘au.

The HWC Retail Store is located on Lighthouse Road in Kapaau.

The HWC is a state- and region-wide wildlife response nonprofit organization.

Its programs include disaster response responder training, contingency planning and research.

The center supports wildlife response throughout the state and the Pacific Islands Region and has the only native wildlife response and rehabilitation facility in the state that meets and exceeds national standards.
