Hawaii Community College and the University of Hawaii at Hilo will host the 26th annual Earth Fair on Friday and Saturday.

Featuring live music and educational activities, the free fair is an opportunity for schoolchildren and the general public to gain a deeper appreciation for the natural environment while having fun.

The Friday segment is 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the UH Hilo campus and geared toward local students, who can learn about marine debris, practice identifying sea creatures at live touch tanks, learn about invasive species and more. The Saturday session, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on the HCC campus, is geared toward community members of all ages, with activities, demonstrations, live music, a plant giveaway, locally grown or produced food and drinks, and exhibits.
