HONOLULU — Christian Standhardinger scored 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as Hawaii cruised to an 86-77 victory over UC Davis on Saturday night.

Isaac Fotu, who came into the game ranked 11th nationally in field goal percentage (.600), added 18 points — on 8-of-12 shooting — and 11 rebounds for Hawaii. Garrett Nevels scored 11 points, Brandon Spearman 10 and Keith Shamburger had eight assists.

Cal Poly’s Justin Dueck made a jumper about three minutes into the game, giving the Mustangs a 10-6 lead. Spearman hit a 3-pointer 20 seconds later, igniting a 19-5 Hawaii run.

Another Spearman 3 with 3:37 left in the first half extended the Rainbow Warriors’ lead to 39-27 and Cal Poly never threatened again.

Hawaii (19-9, 8-5 Big West Conference) made 32 of 56 field goals (57 percent).

Cory Hawkins led Cal Poly (8-19, 3-9) with 29 points while Clint Bozner added 16.
