The University of Hawaii at Hilo women’s golf team placed sixth out of 18 teams at the St. Mary’s University Lady Rattler Invitational in San Antonio.

The University of Hawaii at Hilo women’s golf team placed sixth out of 18 teams at the St. Mary’s University Lady Rattler Invitational in San Antonio.

Kacie Harada fired a 3-over 75 in Tuesday’s second round to finish eighth for the Vulcans at 10-over 154. St. Edward’s Haley Haught (141) won the individual title.

UHH (643) was 44 strokes off the pace set by first-place St. Edwards.

Nyssa Aoki (80-82—162) tied for 32nd for the Vulcans, while Kristen Sawada (83-80—163) and Jade Salvador (85-80—165) were at 35th and 44th, respectively. Dayna Bersamin (84-85—169) tied for 58th place. Playing unattached, UHH’s Erika Morihiro closes with an 80 to turn in a 165.

Tarleton State (618), Chico State (629), Northeastern State (632) and Dallas Baptist (640) rounded out the top five.
