The Jack and Otome Miyashiro Scholarship is available to a public high school graduate planning to attend a two-year or four-year post-high school educational institution as an incoming freshman this fall.

The Jack and Otome Miyashiro Scholarship is available to a public high school graduate planning to attend a two-year or four-year post-high school educational institution as an incoming freshman this fall.

This $2,000 scholarship is sponsored by the family of the late Jack and Otome Miyashiro and administered by Hui Okinawa.

The Miyashiros, the founders of Jack’s Tours, were long-time members of Hui Okinawa and successful business people in Hilo.

Applicants must be graduates of an accredited State of Hawaii Department of Education high school. Their parents or guardians must be a current resident of the County of Hawaii.

Application forms are available through the counselor’s office of only public high schools.
