An Earth &Ocean Festival on Saturday, April 12, in Kailua-Kona will showcase and emphasize the unique treasures of Hawaii Island through active participation in educational booths and activities about coral reef, ocean stewardship and conservation practices in Hawaii.

An Earth &Ocean Festival on Saturday, April 12, in Kailua-Kona will showcase and emphasize the unique treasures of Hawaii Island through active participation in educational booths and activities about coral reef, ocean stewardship and conservation practices in Hawaii.

Traditional Hawaiian cultural practices will be shared, environmental programs will be presented from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Surf &Turf Theater at Makaeo Pavilion at the Old Kona Airport. Also, educational tours will be offered throughout the day at the Kona Cloud Forest Sanctuary, Natural Energy Laboratory Hawaii, Historical Footsteps Along the Kona Coast and along the Makaeo Walking Path. Tours require online registration in advance.

Enjoy locally made and sourced food, and entertainment will be provided throughout the day, including The Hiccup Circus. A special Hawaiian music concert, starting at 3 p.m., will close the festival.
