The National Football League’s championship game was played in East Rutherford, N.J.

Unger, who went onto star at the University of Oregon, is the Seahawks starting center.

The Seahawks, the NFC champions, dominated the Broncos, the AFC champion, in a game that was watched by 115 million viewers in the United States. It set the record for the most-watched TV event in U.S. history.
