Beginning Feb. 3, the Volcano Art Center will host a new feature — Multi-Media Mondays, an ongoing series of classes taught by Lisa Louise Adams.

Join Adams for the adventure of growing your creativity from 3-5 p.m. weekly at the VAC Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village.

Students will be encouraged to experiment using drawing, painting, printmaking, bookmaking and more to find their inner voice and personal style.

Adams is a multi-media artist who loves to make books, prints, pottery, jewelry and quilts. From her unique Hawaiian-style quilts to her hand-thrown and carved porcelain miniatures, she expresses the powerful beauty of nature and the mystery of symbols.

She has lived in Hawaii for more than two decades, now in Volcano with her family, where she makes art and teaches adults and children in her Spiral Triangle Studios and throughout the state as an Artist in the Schools.

All levels of expertise are invited to come and explore their creativity on Multi-Media Mondays.

Class will be in Hale Ho‘omana, VAC’s education building. Cost is $50 per month/$45 VAC members, with a $30-per-month fee, which includes all materials and supplies. Advance registration is required.
