A 25-year-old Ocean View woman was arrested and charged for a Sunday morning robbery in which she allegedly wielded a hatchet and bit another woman in the arm, and police are looking for an alleged accomplice.

Trinety Shantel Crapser was arrested Monday and charged Tuesday with first-degree robbery, a Class A felony punishable by up to 20 years imprisonment, plus third-degree assault and unauthorized entry to a motor vehicle.
Crapser made her initial appearance Wednesday in Ka‘u District Court. Judge Andrew Wilson maintained Crapser’s bail at $62,000 and ordered her to return for a preliminary hearing 10 a.m. Friday.
Police said they received a 9:22 a.m. call stating a 47-year-old Discovery Harbor woman, identified in court documents filed by police as Trudi Grentz, reportedly told authorities she was standing next to her purple Corvette on South Point road when a white Toyota sedan stopped, and a woman got out of the passenger side with a hatchet in her hand and demanded Grentz’s car.
Documents state when Grentz refused, the woman swung the hatchet at her but missed. Grentz reportedly told police she then wrestled the hatchet from the woman. A fight ensued and the woman pulled out some of Grentz’s hair. Grentz was also reportedly bitten on the right forearm during the scuffle.
A man driving the Toyota then reportedly got out, reached into Grentz’s car and removed a beach bag that, according to police, contained a laptop, a cellphone and a wallet.
A passerby reportedly stopped to intervene and the man driving the Toyota drove away.
The woman suspect, who according to documents was later identified by witnesses through photographs as Crapser, got into the Corvette and tried, unsuccessfully, to start it. When the car wouldn’t start, Crapser reportedly ran into the bushes and got away.
Documents state Crapser admitted the incident, but told police she was forced to rob the victim and take the car by 23-year-old Kainoa Kahele-Bishop of Ocean View, who she identified as the driver of the Toyota.
Police are looking for Kahele-Bishop, who they described as 5-foot-8, 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
