The University of Hawaii at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) and the North Hawaii Education &Research Center (NHERC) will offer two basic grant writing workshops in February.

The University of Hawaii at Hilo College of Continuing Education and Community Service (CCECS) and the North Hawaii Education &Research Center (NHERC) will offer two basic grant writing workshops in February.

Each session is $55, space is limited, and advanced registration is required.

The first workshop will be 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at NHERC in Honokaa. Call 775-8890 to register.

The second session will be 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at CCECS in Hilo. Call 974-7664 to register.

Participants will learn about the grant writing process, how to write a compelling statement of need, what funders are looking for and where to find grants.

The workshops will be presented by Jeani Navarro, who has more than 30 years of grant writing experience.
