USGS Hawaiian Volcano Observatory geologist Don Swanson will talk about his work trying to solve the puzzle of human footprints preserved in volcanic ash deposits erupted from Kilauea in 1790.
His talk begins at 7 p.m. in University Classroom Building room 100 at the University of Hawaii at Hilo at 200 W. Kawili St. in Hilo.
Everyone is invited and no reservations are needed.
