The members of the Hilo High School Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps attended the annual JROTC Big Island Military Ball on Dec. 7 at the Waikoloa Hilton.

This year’s ball was hosted by the Konaweana Wildcat Battalion, and was attended also by cadets from Konaweana High School and Kealakehe High School JROTC programs.

“The annual JROTC Military Ball is a formal event that incorporates formal military traditions, JROTC esprit de corps and fun for high school cadets,” said public affairs officer Lorrain Domogma, a cadet first lieutenant with the Hilo JROTC Viking Battalion.

This year’s event theme was “Pearl Harbor: A day that will live in infamy.”
