Parker School brought in more than $18,500 for financial aid at its 11th annual Fairways &Friends Golf Tournament at Hualalai Resort on Dec. 14.

This year, in addition to golf, Hualalai Spa treatments and a clothing and accessory sale hosted by Hula Moon Boutique were offered that day at the resort.

“The school is grateful to all of the sponsors, participants and donors who helped make the event a success,” said a Parker spokesman. After the tournament, participants enjoyed an awards reception with heavy pupus, cocktails and prizes donated by generous local businesses.

Parker School is an independent, coeducational, college-preparatory K-12 school located in Waimea. Because a large percentage — more than 50 percent — of Parker School students receive financial aid, the school holds events such as the Fairways &Friends tournament and Kahiau, their annual spring auction gala, to help raise financial aid funds.

The title sponsor was Redwater Construction, with a long list of additional supporters. For more information, visit www.parkerschoolhawaii.org.
