Akaka Falls Lions Club President Lion Blayne Hanagami, at left, presents a $10,000 Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation check to Judy Marsh, East Hawaii program services manager, and Gary Michell, county services director-Big Island, both of Mental Health Kokua, and Lion Ben Cockett, coordinator of the recent Weinberg painting project. Thirty-one Akaka Falls Lions Club members, two family members and one member from the Hilo Lions Club performed more than 125 man hours painting three bedrooms and a kitchen at Mental Health Kokua in Hilo. Their efforts earned them the $10,000 from the foundation to present to the nonprofit organization.
