Alice Filoteo Legaspi, 91, of Hilo, died Nov. 19 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Waiakea, she retired from Kilauea Inn, K K Tei Restaurant, and the 50th State Bar. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo and a client of Hawaii Island Adult Care. Visitation from 8:30-10 a.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery, Section C. Aloha and casual attire. Napoleon “Nappy” Kealoha Haena, 76, of Keaau, died Nov. 24 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a retired carpenter and a U.S. Army veteran. Mary Ellen Wong, 73, of Volcano, died Nov. 25 in Honokaa. Born in Ookala, she was a cattle rancher, a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa and a member of the Hawaii Cattlemen’s Association. Geraldine “Aunty Gerry” Kuuiini Johansen, 71, of Pearl City, Oahu, died Nov. 23 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hawi, she was a retired alumni director of Kamehameha Schools, Kapalama. Leroy “Butch” Paul Fry, 75, of Keaau died Nov. 29 at his residence. Born in Lodi, Calif., he was a carpenter and sailor. Private services. Evelyn Ruth Mertz, 95, of Waikoloa, died Monday at her residence. Born in Allentown, Penn., she was a retired office clerk for an oil company and a member of Waikoloa Baptist Church. Kikuye “K” Sasaki, 93, of Kalaoa died Nov. 28 at her home.
