The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation wants to send a big mahalo to the University of Hawaii at Hilo Vulcans men’s baseball team for helping repair Hilo’s Frances F.C. Wong Stadium.
Team members recently spent five weekends working tirelessly applying new sod to the baseball infield and performing other repairs needed to ready the field for the busy winter baseball season.
Community volunteerism is essential for the Department of Parks and Recreation to provide diverse recreational opportunities to a growing population. UHH men’s baseball team members are an outstanding example of this support. Thank you, UHH Vulcans men’s baseball team!
