Alexander “Alex” Carden Beckley, 80, of Kailua-Kona died Sunday at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired Honolulu County firefighter, a former aircraft mechanic for Lockheed Corp., a fisherman, a outdoorsman and member of Hope Chapel Kailua-Kona. Private services held. Survived by son, Tracy (Roxanne) Beckley of Hilo; daughters, Carlene (Bryan) da Silva of Kealakekua, Cherie-Dee (Robert) Salsedo of Waikoloa and Shellese (Daniel) Guieb of Kailua-Kona; sister, Dian (Eugene) Freitas of Kailua, Oahu; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Masayuki Ishii, 87, of Honomu died Nov. 7 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired from the former Hilo Coast Processing Co. and was a member of the Honomu Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and International Longshore and Warehouse Union Bowling League. John Phillip Romanak, 63, of Kailua-Kona, died Nov. 21 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in North Kingstown, R.I., he was the owner of a window cleaning service and a former surfer. Born in Hilo, she was retired and a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Hilo and Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou.
