A Family Support Hawaii talk-story event recently helped the group celebrate 35 years of providing services to the community.

Barbara Dalton, the Big Island representative for Gov. Neil Abercrombie’s office, presented Family Support Hawaii Executive Director Ray Wofford with a proclamation stating that Oct. 18 had been named Family Support Hawaii Day.

The event afforded the board of directors and the program managers an opportunity to talk to community members about the agency’s current services and future directions.

“Mahalo to all who attended, Family Support Hawaii appreciates the support given to the agency over the past 35 years,” Wofford said.
