The Center for Spiritual Living and Rainbow Friends Animal Sanctuary invite the community to share a love of lilikoi, aka passion fruit, with the world via a fall festival on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Hawaiian Paradise Park Activity Center in Keaau.

The Center for Spiritual Living and Rainbow Friends Animal Sanctuary invite the community to share a love of lilikoi, aka passion fruit, with the world via a fall festival on Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Hawaiian Paradise Park Activity Center in Keaau.

The benefit for the two nonprofit organizations will feature a cooking contest, with celebrity judges Audrey Wilson, Sonia Martinez and chef Corey Bryhan from Sam Choy’s Restaurant in Kona.

Audrey Wilson and Chef Bryhan will present cooking demonstrations and Nick Sakovich, The Garden Guy, will give a talk about Lilikoi.

The newly published cookbook, “The Lilikoilicious Cookbook: 107 Ways to Add Passion To Your Life” will be available for purchase, and there will be music, keiki activities, and all will be hosted by local celebrity Douglas Wayman appearing as Miss Lily Coy.

Coordinators are now accepting applications for the cooking contest, where your prized recipe will be featured and you will be elegible to win great prizes. To download an entry form, go to www.lilikoifestival.com.
