The state Department of Transportation has announced the following roadwork for this week, weather permitting:

The state Department of Transportation has announced the following roadwork for this week, weather permitting:

• On Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19), alternating lane closures on Umauma Bridge at the 16-mile marker in both directions 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for bridge repairs. Travel speed is reduced to 25 mph and vehicle weight limited to 25 tons.

• On Volcano Highway (Route 11), alternating single-lane closures in both directions between milepost markers 8.6 and 13.4 between Keaau and Mountain View, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.- 3 p.m. daily, for roadway reconstruction.

• On Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) between Hookena and Kealakekua, alternating lane closures in both directions between milepost markers 102 and 109, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. daily, for roadway reconstruction.

• On Mamalahoa Highway (Route 190) in Makalei, alternating single-lane closures in both directions between Uluoa Street and Old Kona Village Road, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. daily, for pavement striping and guardrail installation.
