Alvin Patrick Dias, 69, of Hilo died Sept. 6 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama facility. Born in Hilo, he was a retired electrician for Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church of Papaikou. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Memorial Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Urn committal services at a later date at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) on Oahu. Survived by sister, Jodi (David) Ariyoshi of Hilo; aunts, uncles, cousins and three nephews. Jewell Morehouse, 92, of Hilo died Sept. 3. Born in Santa Ana, Calif., she was a retired clerk for Orange Grove Elementary School. No services. Survived by sons, Craig (Judy) Morehouse of California and Randall (Bess) Morehouse of Hilo; daughter Kathy (Norman) Huefner of California; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Ernesto C. “Nestor” Remobles, 55, of Honokaa died Sept. 7 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Cuyapo, Philippines; he was a laboratory analyst for the former Hamakua Sugar Co. and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Visitation 5-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation again 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21 at the church. Mass at 10 a.m. Casual attire; flowers welcome. Burial to follow at Honokaa Catholic Cemetery. Survived by wife, Wilma Damaso Remobles of Honokaa; daughters, Rowena Marie Remobles and Vanessa Krystal Remobles of Honokaa; son, Mark Christopher Remobles of Honokaa; two grandchildren. Eunice Yau Tai Soto, 95, Honalo died Sept. 10 at Hospice of Kona Nakamaru Hale facility. Born in Honolulu, she was a homemaker and member of the Mililani Senior Citizens Club and St. John’s Apostle & Evangelist Catholic Church. Visitation 5:30-6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 20 at Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel in Waipahu, Oahu. Memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Casual attire.
