The Wahine Ryders girls basketball team from Hilo took two teams to Las Vegas, Nevada to play in the 2013 AAU West Coast National Championship, from July 18-21.

The Wahine Ryders girls basketball team from Hilo took two teams to Las Vegas, Nevada to play in the 2013 AAU West Coast National Championship, from July 18-21.

The 13 & under Wahine Ryders played in the 7th grade division and brought home the 3rd Place trophy, and medals for each individual players. The 14 & under Wahine Ryders played in the 8th grade division and brought home the Consolation Trophy, and medals for each individual player as well.

Members of the Wahine Ryders 7th grade division 3rd place finishers included Jamila Collins-Ebanez, Mindy Kawaha, Claire Kaneshiro, Mandi Kawaha, Jayvyn Collins-Ebanez, Jescenia Tadeo-Jose, Juliana Pakele, Saydee Aganus, Kaitlyn Galima-Pajimola and Jordyn Mantz. The coaches were Fred Collins and Harry Pagan.

Members of the Wahine Ryders 8th grade division consolation champions included Cherish Quiocho, Mandi Kawaha, Kaitlyn Galima-Pajimola, Anela Brickwood, Jayvyn Collins-Ebanez, Kaimana Kawaha, Carrliee Naki, Saydee Aganus, Dani Oda, Kryssie Okinaka and Sharry Pagan. The coaches were Fred Collins and Harry Pagan.
