From course design to ongoing industry-leading expert consultations, Kohala Zipline has set a high standard for zipline design and safety, said President Rob Pacheco.

“We are happy our business model that successfully integrates safety, fun, conservation and community is being recognized with this award,” said Pacheco. “We have a fantastic team that provides memorable experiences for guests and this award belongs to them.”

The Kohala Zipline Canopy Tour traverses a forested, stream-rich land on the northern tip of Hawaii Island, in an area known since ancient times as Halawa. The course features soaring platforms built into majestic trees accentuated by arching suspension bridges and progressively longer zip lines. Kohala Zipline’s sister company, Hawaii Forest & Trail, has been exploring Hawaii since 1993. The companies’ missions are to deliver guests an excellent, safe and fun learning experience, to support island communities and resources through philanthropy, sustainable business practices and a conservation ethic, and to provide a healthy, profitable, and rewarding environment for their company ohana.
