Jason “Jay” Mansfield Lee Jr., 55, of Hilo died Saturday, June 22, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a former mechanic for Hilo Lanes and a U.S. Army veteran. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo; Wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation continues from 9-10 a.m. Friday at the mortuary; Funeral service at 10 a.m.; Burial to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2. Casual attire. Survived by daughter, Jessie (Chris) Lee of Hilo; sons, Justin “Ola” Lee of Hilo and Jason “Boy” (Jennifer) Lee III of Hilo; mother, Cecilia “Kainoa” Lee of Hilo; brother, Llewellyn “Lou” (Wendy) Lee of Hilo; sisters, Karen Hussey of Hilo, Margaret “Mags” (Vicente “Vince”) Navor of Hilo and Evelyn (Daril) Lee of Hilo; two godchildren; six grandchildren; in-laws, numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker, a student at Hawaii Community College and a former member of Hula Halau O Hoku Mana. Mr. Jack Hiroki Sakamoto, age 85, of Hilo died June 21 at the Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center in Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was retired from the state of Hawaii Department of Transportation Highways Division as a bridge maintenance inspector. Private services held. No flowers. No koden. Survived by sons, Rian (Millicent) Sakamoto of Hilo and Michael Sakamoto of Hilo; daughter, Joan Sakamoto of Baltimore, Md.; sister, Pearl Tanemura of Hilo; also by an uncle, aunts, and cousins.
