The Puna Panthers will begin tackle football and cheerleading registration from 10:30 a.m.-noon Saturday in Pahoa at the old KFC building next to Burger King.

Sign-ups also will be held June 29, July 13 and July 29.

Kilauea Sporting Skeet Club event

The Kilauea Sporting Skeet Club will hold its next shoot from 9 a.m.-3:45 p.m. June 23.

All shotguns, ammunition and eye and ear protection must be provided by participants. A potluck lunch is planned, with drinks provided by the club.

With the end of furloughs this month, the range will resume normal operational hours in July.

Keaau High is accepting applications for girls soccer, tennis and swimming and diving coaches for the upcoming seasons, and the deadline to apply is today from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at the school’s main office.

Applicants must pass a Department of Education background check.

Pure Aloha volleyball club will hold a free clinic for ages 12-14 from 10 a.m.-noon Saturday at Carvalho Park.

Ace at Volcano

Erica Chong aced the 182-yard 16th hole Thursday at Volcano Country Club.

Chong used a 5-iron for her first career hole-in-one, which was witnessed by Curtis Chong, Gary Bartolome and Art Weber.

Hapuna Roughwater Swim set for June 29

The Hapuna Roughwater Swim, the second leg of Bike Works Beach & Sports’ triple crown of swimming, will take place at 8 a.m. June 29 at Hapuna Beach State Park.

Register by Saturday at academyswimhawaii.org to guarantee a race T-shirt.
