Fumio Honda, 93, of Honolulu died May 6 at home. Born in Pahala, he was a retired welder. Visitation 5-6 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary in Honolulu. Funeral service at 6 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by sons, Dale Hideo (Carol) Honda and Brian Yorio (Debra) Honda of Honolulu; brothers, Yoshimi Honda and Takeo Honda of Honolulu, Akira (Mary) Honda of Seattle; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. David K. H. Hong, 81, of Hilo died April 18 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired mechanic for Curt’s Union 76 station and a U.S. Air Force veteran. Visitation 3-4 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 4 p.m. Graveside urn committal service at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by wife, Nancy Hong of Hilo; sons, Randall M. Hong of Kailua-Kona and Curtis J. (Claire) Hong of Hilo; brother, Daniel (Chizuko) Hong of Kona; sister, Edith Kong of Honolulu; brother-in-law, Gun Ahn of Washington state; sisters-in-law, Mariko Hong of Washington state and Mi Sun Hong of Honolulu; one grandson; nieces and nephews.
