Hawaii Learning Resource is accepting applications for Summer Academic Enrichment Camps for diverse learners entering grades 2-5 in the 2013-2014 school year. The two-week day camps focus on building on students’ learning skills in a fun, hands-on environment emphasizing observation, focus and listening.

Hawaii Learning Resource is accepting applications for Summer Academic Enrichment Camps for diverse learners entering grades 2-5 in the 2013-2014 school year. The two-week day camps focus on building on students’ learning skills in a fun, hands-on environment emphasizing observation, focus and listening.

Parents of camp students will be provided with a better understanding of their child’s learning strengths and challenges and receive strategies and resources to help.

Hawaii Learning Resource’s summer camps were developed in collaboration

with Assets School and are held in partnership with Hawaii Preparatory

Academy. The camps are taught by local educators trained by Assets School master teachers.

Assets School is a private school located in Honolulu known for its innovative teaching practices. Grant funding to support the camps has been provided by the Thomas J. Long Foundation and West Hawaii Fund.

Spy Camp Session 1 will be June 10-21. Spy Camp Session 2 will be June 24 to July 5. Camps are held in Waimea at Hawaii Preparatory Academy’s

Village Campus, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Enrollment is limited to 20 students per session.

Applications are available on Hawaii Learning Resource’s website, www.hawaiilearningresource.org, or by calling 885-9318. Tuition is $500 per student for each two-week session and includes lunch. Limited financial assistance is available. Minimum tuition is $200 per session.
