“Step Up and Call It,” a women’s basketball officiating clinic, will be held July 18-20 in Kailua-Kona.

The clinic is for women’s basketball officials that would like to develop their officiating skills to the next level, a spokesperson said.

In conjunction with the Department of Parks and Recreation on the Island of Hawaii an officiating clinic and an accompanying tournament will be held. The clinic will be conducted by Andrea Osborne, Coordinator of Women’s basketball officials for the Big West Conference, Foothill Conference, and University of California San Marcos.

Interested officials will be offered an opportunity to receive classroom instruction on three-person mechanics, video tape of games, game tape break down and on court evaluations, along with opportunities to work with collegiate officials. The clinic fee will be $100.

Pacific Western assignor Dan Hooper supports this clinic and will receive feedback on all attendees, the spokesperson said.
