George Camarillo Jr. received a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction with a specialization in English as a second language at the winter commencement of American College of Education.

The event was held on Feb. 16 at the Hilton Lake Buena Vista in Orlando, Fla.

Camarillo is a Polynesian music teacher at Waiakea Intermediate School in Hilo.

In honor of the college’s mission of providing affordable, accessible and relevant graduate programs for educators, Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer proclaimed Feb. 16 American College of Education Graduate Day.
