A National Letter of Intent signing day reception with University of Hawaii football head coach Norm Chow and his coaching staff will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7 at the Hilo Hawaiian Moku’ola Room.
The event was originally scheduled to be held at the Hilo Yacht Club but was moved.
The event is sponsored by Big Island Candies and the Na Koa Football Club and will allow Warriors football fans and the public to share an in-depth discussion with the UH coaches on their 2013 recruit class.
Cost is $50 per ticket and includes drinks and pupu. Space is limited. The reservation deadline is today, but there is still some openings and interested fans are asked to sign up as soon as possible, or call (808) 956-4513 for more information.
PCA workshop set
The Department of Parks & Recreation and the Positive Coaching Alliance will hold a Positive Coaches Workshop on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at Aunty Sally’s Luau House.
Registration starts at 5:30 p.m. and the workshop will run from 6 to 8 p.m. There is a $5 fee which includes a workshop booklet.
