Big Island police have arrested a second Puna man in connection with the disappearance of 44-year-old Dante Peter Gilman of Hawaiian Acres, who was reported missing on January 10.

Big Island police have arrested a second Puna man in connection with the disappearance of 44-year-old Dante Peter Gilman of Hawaiian Acres, who was reported missing on January 10.

At 10:37 a.m. Friday, 19-year-old Kawena K. Krause of Kurtistown was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder.

He is being held at the Hilo police cellblock while detectives from the Area I Criminal Investigations Section continue the investigation.

He is the second individual arrested in connection with Gilman’s disappearance and possible homicide. Police arrested Claude Keone Krause on Thursday.

Neither had been charged as of Friday afternoon.
