Just Scrap card on Saturday
Just Scrap will hold a mixed martial arts card on Saturday at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium, featuring the return of Wesley “Cabbage” Correira, who last fought in 2008. The former UFC heavyweight is scheduled to fight Deutsch Pu‘u, a former K-1 fighter, who lost to Dylan Rush in a Toughman kickboxing event last May.
Hilo’s Chad Thomas will headline the main event against Doug Hiu, from MMA Development on Oahu, in another battle of pro heavyweights. Kona’s Oscar Van Penovaroff and Hilo’s Joey Gomez will also fight in pro bouts.
