Doris Tokiyo Yamauchi, 91, of Kailua died Nov. 15 at home. Born in Honolulu, she was a self-employed papaya farmer. Private services. Survived by son, Wayne (Beverly) Yamauchi of Kailua; a daughter, Aileen (Joel) Shibuya of Mililani, Oahu; brothers, Yoshio Ekimoto, Tomeji (Kazue) Ekimoto and Kunio (Florence) Ekimoto, all of Honolulu; sister, Yaeko (Shigeto) Setoda of Hilo; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Dale Keakaokawai (Kaopua) Hunter, 70, formerly of Hawaii Island, died Dec. 2 in Prattville, Ala. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired state WIC employee and member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Memorial service was held in Pratville, Ala. Private scattering of ashes in Hilo. Survived by sons, Jeffery Hunter of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jon (Jana) Hunter of Keaau; daughter, Jodi-Lynn (Richard) Phillips of Prattville, Ala.; sisters, Kay (Harvey) Lum and Junell Hoomalu, both of Las Vegas, Nev., Avis Fitzgerald of Pearl City, Oahu, Vayna (Steve) Nelson of Phoenix, Ariz., Pady (Lindsey) Ching of Pearl City, Oahu, and Sharon (Danny) Shellhouse of Homestead, Fla.; brother, James (LeeAnn) Kaopua of Oceanside, Calif.; six grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Jay B. Patterson Sr. 61, of Kekaha, Kauai, formerly of Kailua, died Dec. 5 at home. Born in Los Angeles, Calif., he became a Hawaii resident at age 16. Private cremation in Lihue, Kauai. Kathleen Kahealani Kahele, 49, of Hilo died Nov. 30 at Hilo Medical Center. Born on Oahu, she participated in multiple programs for Goodwill. Memorial Service noon Saturday at 144 Kaieie Place, Hilo. Second Memorial Service noon at Milolii, Kona, on Jan. 19, 2013. Survived by mother, Sarah Kahele of Hilo; three brothers, William K. (Ruth) Kahele, Kimo (Paulette) King, Jordan Kahele, all of Hilo; two sisters Germaine (Allan) Kila of Honolulu, Harollyn (David) Kahee of Hilo; numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunties and cousins. Robert Allan Pennington, 87, of Ocean View died Dec. 4 at home. Born in Kansas, he was a retired airline mechanic/tech service supervisor for United Airlines. Memorial Service at a later date.
