Virginio “Gene” Correa Aguiar Jr., 70, of Ninole died Nov. 26 at Hillside Care Manor in Portland, Ore. Born in Laupahoehoe, he owned American Pacific Inc.-International, Agee Inc. and A&A Trucking, founded American Cowboy Team Roping Association in Hawaii and served on the national board, co-founded the Hawaii High School Rodeo Association and Hawaii Horse Owners’ Association and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Visitation 5-9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation again 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Patricia “Patty” Ann Baji, 72, of Keaau died Nov. 29 at home. Born in San Francisco, she was a warehouse manager for the former Woolworth’s store and a receiving supervisor for Hilo Walmart. Fumiyuki Kiyota, 93, of Waimea died Dec. 7 at home. Born in Waimea, He was a retired Parker Ranch water pump pperator and member of Kamuela Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and Kamuela Japanese American Civic Association. Lawrence Palmer Mosher, 81, of Hilo died Dec. 5 at Pohai Malama Hospice. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired Hawaii Air National Guard retired pilot, personal security for Gov. George Ariyoshi, former Hawaii County Council legislative assistant and a U.S. Army and Air Force veteran. Melvin Tadayoshi Iriguchi, 66, of Hilo died Nov. 10 in Honolulu. Born in Kohala, he was a retired U.S. Department of Agriculture plant quarantine inspector and a member of the Kuulei Community Association. John T. Moore, 91, of Coos Bay, Ore., and formerly of Hilo, died Dec. 4 in Coos Bay.
