The Hawaii Island Network of Artists (HINA), a project of the Volcano Art Center sponsored by the County of Hawaii, will hold its South Hilo district meeting at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, in room UCB 127, aat 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday .

The UHH Art Department supports the effort to identify the economic impact of the arts in our community; expand upon a 2006 National Endowment for the Arts report that ranked Hawaii nationally No. 3 per capita ‘Artists in the Workforce’ with fine artists and craftspeople,” said department Chairman Michael Marshall.

“We encourage all individual practicing artists and craftspeople holding a GE license and contributing to the local economy through the purchase of materials and supplies in the pursuit of your passion and work to come out for this meeting.”
