Konawaena High School recently held its awards assembly and honored several student-athletes for their accomplishments during the 2011-12 school year.

According to athletic director Bill Trumbo, the following student-athletes were awarded Wildcat of the Year as an Exemplary Senior Athlete:

• Female: Ashley Teshima (Soccer, Tennis)

• Male: Randall Berdon (Football, Basketball, Volleyball)

Also honored were:

• Scholar Athlete of the Year: Female, Ciara Cetraro (Cheerleading); Male: Kellan Kalani Kadooka (Air Rifle, Tennis).

• Cross Country: Shayli Nakamoto.

• Bowling: Boys, Dalton Tokuyama; girls Angelica Paguyo.

• Air Rifle: Boys, Kalani Kadooka; Girls, Megan Vierra.

• Girls Volleyball: Jasmine Ward.

• Football: Offense, Gunner Nagata; Defense, Mikey Andrade.

• Cheerleading; Lexie Ayers.

• Boys soccer: Isaiah Chinen.

• Girl soccer: Hedwyne Santos.

• Boys basketball: Kenan Gaspar.

• Girls basketball: Dawnyelle Awa and Emalia Galdeira.

• Girls wrestling: Aimee Shiraki.

• Canoe paddling: Justin Onaka.

• Swimming: Camille Ricketts.

• Softball: Amanda Varron.

• Baseball: Makana Canda.

• Girls tennis: Cassidy Ching.
