Richard Keonaona Case Sr., 94, of Waimea died Aug. 10 at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Kohala, he was a retired heavy equipment operator for the state Highways Division, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Waimea 2nd Ward and Waimea Hawaiian Civic Club, and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
