Benjamin “Keiki” Kama III, 55, of Hilo died Aug. 17 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Originally from Waimanalo, Oahu, he started as a plumbing apprentice and worked in a variety of labor trades and was recognized in 1987 as all-state football offensive lineman at Kailua High School on Oahu, where he graduated in 1988. Visitation 10:30 a.m.-noon Saturday, Oct. 25, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Waimanalo Chapel, 41-972 Oluolu St. in Waimanalo,Oahu. Service at noon.
