Billie Lavender Hawkins, 97, of Kailua-Kona died Sept. 21 at Kona Community Hospital in Kealakekua. She worked for General Motors Research and lived in Michigan and North Carolina before moving to Hawaii. Wynn Yoshiharu Ichishita, 71, of Kailua-Kona died Aug. 6 in Honolulu. Born in Hawaii, he was the owner and hairstylist of Wynn’s Salon, a singer in Jim Nabors’ Waikiki show and member of Kona Coffee Festival, Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple and Kona Seichonoie. Visitation 2-3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at Kona Hongwanji Buddhist Temple in Kealakekua. Memorial service at 3 p.m. Casual attire.
