BIIF volleyball: Parker stays unbeaten; Daggers win in 4 sets

The 2025 BIIF girls volleyball season continued with matchups Monday across the isle.

Parker 3, HPA 1

It was another match, another victory for Parker.

The Lady Bulls elevated to a perfect 13-0 after a four-set victory over local rival Hawaii Preparatory Academy inside the SMART Center. Ka Makani fell to 5-4.

Parker won the first set in a narrow 26-24 frame, but the red and white answered with a 25-21 second-set win to tie things up. After some adjustments, the Lady Bulls closed the match with 25-18 and 25-18 victories.

As of late Tuesday afternoon, Parker is one of the two remaining unbeaten teams on the Big Isle. The Lady Bulls have beaten some stiff competition, including Ka Makani, Kohala, Kanu o ka ‘Aina, Kealakehe, Honoka‘a, Konawaena and Makua Lani Christian Academy.

HPA has found themselves in a hole, losing three straight matches after winning five straight. Ka Makani has beaten the likes of Kealakehe, Kanu, Honoka‘a, Kohala and Makua Lani.

The red and white additionally played the Lady Dragons late Tuesday night inside Castle Gymnasium. See the paper Thursday for more.

Pahoa 3, Connections 0

After dropping the previous two matches, Pahoa gir back on track after a quick sweep on Connections in Pahoa town. The Lady Daggers won by scores of 25-12, 25-11 and 25-11.

Pahoa elevated to 8-5 late in the season. In addition to Connections, the Lady Daggers have beaten teams such as Christian Liberty Academy, Laupahoehoe, Ka‘u and Kea‘au.

Pahoa returns to the court on Monday against Kea‘au at home. When the two teams last faced off, the Lady Daggers won in four sets.

Connections fell to 0-13, and will try to earn its first win against Ka‘u at 10 a.m. in Pahala. When the two schools last played, the Lady Trojans swept.
