Leslie Kalani Jaime Julian, 71, of Pahoa died May 24 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a supervisor for the former Puna Sugar Co. and self-employed farmer. Visitation 9-11 a.m. Saturday (July 12) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Cremation to follow. Casual attire; no flowers. Survived by wife, Faye Hanohano of Pahoa; son, Rene (Lauren) Julian of Kapahulu, Oahu; daughter, Kahikina (Kaleo) Kaawaloa of Pahoa; brothers, Harold (Lehua) Aiona of Kalapana, Arthur Aiona of Oregon and Arsenio “Lucas” (Ulu) Julian Jr. of Pahoa; sisters, Florence Kawaihae, Alison “Ah Moe” Julian and Elizabeth “Mei Lin” (Dexter) De Coito of Pahoa, Gloria Roldan of Keaau, Jessie (Alejo) Jumalon of Kona, Elizabeth “Mui Chee Lee” (Ismael) Perez of San Diego; sister-in-law, Florence “Tina” Aiona of Pahoa; two granddaughters; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Angela “Angie” Leialoha Kalani, 54, of Hilo died March 9. Full-day celebration of life starting 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, meeting at the Old Kona Airport for a car run.
