Lindsay MacDonald Barclay, 83, of Honolulu, formerly of Volcano, died May 8 in Honolulu. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a retired civilian auditor for the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Air Force veteran who studied accounting at Kansas State University and earned a master’s in Russian history at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, former volunteer at Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Rotary Club of Volcano member. He was a gentle man who loved big parties but quiet conversations. He had no known surviving family but many friends.

Joseph Thomas Hogan, 60, of Kailua-Kona died June 5 at Kona Community Hospital in Kealakekua. Born in Pennsylvania, he was an environmental scientist and the president of the Wednesday Happy Hour Club at Humpy’s Big Island Alehouse. Private services. Norman Russell Kaimuloa, 76, of Keauhou died April 23 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Waimea, he was a retired carpenter. Private services. Survived by wife, Georgianna Kaimuloa; children, Samuel Kaimuloa, Barbra (Wayne Bates) Kaimuloa Bates, and Jonah (Azure Kaawa) Kaimuloa; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Clyde Kiyomi Matsunaga, 82, of Hilo died Jan. 15. Born in Hilo, he was a civil engineer for Imata and Associates, graduate of Hilo High School Class of 1960 and University of Hawaii at Manoa College of Engineering. Kimberly “Kim” Sherwood Moran, 68, of Ocean View died April 20 at home. Born in Seattle, he was a construction superintendent and accomplished woodworker. Services at a later date. Survived by daughter, Sarah (Janssen) Moran; siblings, Richard (Theresa) Moran, David (Joy) Moran, Jay Moran, Linda (Tim) Clark and Phillip Moran; two grandchildren. George Joji Shigenaga, 91, of Hilo died May 18 in a private care home in Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a retired sales representative for McCormick and Co., owner of the former Pua Nani Florist in Hilo and member of Papaikou Hongwanji Buddhist Temple, Ohana Lehua Bonsai Club and Crescent City Lions Club.
