The Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF) boys volleyball season continued Monday with matches on opposite ends of the island.
Waiakea 3, Connections 0
Waiakea boys volleyball won its seventh straight game, beating Connections in straight sets for the second time this season. The Warriors improved to 9-1, while the ‘Io remained winless at 0-13.
Waiakea won by set scores of 25-18, 25-17 and 25-11 — getting better as the match continued. The Warriors have won four matches in consecutive sets in 2025.
Waiakea also played Kamehameha-Hawaii late Tuesday night in Kea‘au; see Thursday’s paper to read the results.
The Warriors also play unbeaten Hilo at 10 a.m. Saturday at home.
Connections plays KSH on Tuesday night in Kea‘au.
