Free to the general public, Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency has scheduled a two-day Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training course from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7, at the Discovery Harbour Community Center, 94-1604 Makalii St, Naalehu.

This is an in-depth FEMA emergency response training class designed to empower participants and their communities about how to best respond to an emergency or disaster.
