Larry Faustino Castillas, 81, of Pahoa died Dec. 18 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a delivery and warehouse worker for Hilo Rice Mill and timer for Hawaii Canoe Racing Association. Dr. Ian Seiichi Ebesugawa, 71, of Hilo died Dec. 24 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a physician and Hawaii Army National Guard Co. C 6th Battalion veteran. Genesis “Genny” E. Kekaualua, 81, of Hilo died Dec. 27 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a was a retired concrete truck driver with Pacific Concrete of Honolulu, president and founder of Heaven on Wheels Motorcycle Club on Oahu and U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran. Darlene Joyce Wilcox, 84, of Hilo died Oct. 21 at home. Born in California, she was a retired operating room nurse, member and pianist at Hilo Seventh-day Adventist Church and was involved with the Prison Ministry on the mainland.
