Addison Moore Bowman, aka “Professor Bowman” or “Coach Addie,” 88, of Paauilo, died Dec. 15 at home. Born in Mechanicsburg, Pa., he a lawyer, professor of law emeritus at the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law, professor of law at Georgetown University Law Center and University of Hiroshima Faculty of Law, member of the Public Defender Service in Washington D.C., author of Hawaii Rules of Evidence Manual and a gunnery officer and navigator in the U.S. Navy. Visitation 11 a.m.-noon Saturday, Jan. 20, at Honokaa Hongwanji Mission. Memorial service at noon. Another memorial at a later date at the William S. Lordes Lauro Galapir, 88, of Hilo, formerly of Pahala, died Dec. 25 in Hilo. Born in Pahala, she was a homemaker. Visitation 8-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Seelyn Puanani Kawewehi, 69, of Hilo died Nov. 12 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, she was a retired KTA Super Stores cashier.
